We work alongside you to achieve your goals and regularly review progress with you and your family.

Meet Our Team
Fiona Neagle is a great communicator, relationship builder and networker. Her passion lies with assisting people with disability and older Australians achieve inclusive and connected lives through her occupational therapy practice, access consultancy, project work and range of volunteer roles.
She is the owner of Thrive Allied Health, a private practice based in Gympie, Queensland which provides a range of therapy services to assist people gain purpose, thrive and flourish in their daily lives. Fiona also works to create environments that are welcoming, inclusive and accessible for all community members. Fiona has worked for the past 28 years in health care, aged care and disability services as a clinician and service manager.
She has collaborated with community organisations, businesses and governments at all levels to build the capacity of rural communities to be welcoming and inclusive of all members. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy and a Master of Health Administration.
She is a founding member of Gympie’s Access Advisory Committee and a life member of Cooloola Human Services Network. She is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia and an associate member of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia.
Ashleigh graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2014. Since then she has worked as an occupational therapist in the areas of pediatrics, aged care, rehabilitation, and the disability sector.
Ashleigh’s passion is to support people to gain the skills and equipment in order to improve their ability to participate in their daily lives. She loves to solve problems with equipment, home modifications, and vehicle modifications. She also enjoys finding solutions for people to access technology, such as communication devices and computer software.
When she is not at work Ashleigh likes spending time with family and friends camping or exploring.
David Gomes is passionate about rehabilitation and the active integration of people within in the community. David has a special interest in neuro-rehabilitation and extensive experience working as a physiotherapist in major tertiary hospitals, outpatient clinics and in the community. David has undertaken graduate and post-graduate studies and has worked in several countries, including Portugal, Spain, France and the United Kingdom. David was also involved in the first worldwide clinical research trial studying the use of the Nintendo Wii for upper limb rehabilitation after stroke.
David is an outdoor enthusiast and a former elite athlete in professional cycling having competed all over the globe.When not at work David shares his time with his young family and hobbies such as cycling, mountain biking, trail running and surfing.
Gary Smith is Thrive Allied Health’s Administration Officer. Gary is a local resident who has lived in Gympie all of his life, so he knows the local area and community well.
Gary is motivated in helping improve people’s lives in whatever way he can. Gary holds a Certificate 4 in Disability and a Diploma in Community Services. He has worked in the disability sector for the past nine years assisting people prepare for and secure employment. He has also previously worked in the retail industry for many years. Enhancing the customer service experience is of great importance to Gary and he is delighted to assist Thrive’s participants in their service journey. Gary prides himself on being a friendly and reliable employee, who likes the challenge of learning new things. Gary also has a passion for technology and likes to work with computers.
When not at work, Gary loves to spend his time with his wife and two daughters, and his mini fox terrier Raffi.
